Each week there are four opportunities for you to come and spend time in the DT workshop. In the 5th Form we tend to use these slots to ensure that you have enough practical time to finish your tealight holder and your MP3 amplifier. Of course, should you wish to tackle other projects after you have completed these projects, you are very welcome.
Lower and Upper Shell are welcome to use these sessions to ensure that they keep up to date with their practical work. As DT has a significant practical element, I do expect a commitment from those of you pursuing the GCSE course to commit to extra-curricular time in the workshop, just like you would be expected to in any other practical subject such as Art, Music or Drama. Upper Shell students need to attend at least one Open Workshop a week.
Open Workshops run at the following times (meetings and parents' evenings permitting.)
Wednesday: 1.20pm-1.55pm
Wednesday: 4.15pm - 5pm
Friday: 1.20pm - 1.55pm
Friday: 4.15pm - 5pm
